With events as of recent I’ve decided to take things more local. I’ve had the occasional problems of an item being sent incorrectly, the extreme price of shipping, or even a piece of clothing just not being the correct size. Luckily, I’m privileged enough to be living in an area of all creativity and entrepreneur. Most in Philly say that Chestnut street has everything. But I can do one better, Pine street, also known as antique row, is full of unique items and friendly business owners. So next time you need a nice new outfit, unique earrings, or a quick gift idea check out some of these great stores on Pine!

This has been one of my go to shops and a place I always recommend to my friends. It’s a smaller thrift store that leans on the antique/vintage vibe, but a place that you are getting your moneys worth! Every time I go on there I wish I can throw out my closet and start from scratch just so I can match the aesthetic of the store. Moonrose typically has all your basic necessities from belts, shoes, leather jackets, fur coats, dresses, all types of shirts and pants, and jewelry. They also have some cute knickknacks that cycle out like wall art, candles, keychains, and even cups and vases. The owners are super kind and always happy to help with finding the perfect item for you.

Giovannis room is a little eclectic book store they have books, clothes, DnD dice, art, music, and anything fit to your hearts desire. I’ve gotten coloring books, poetry books, and comic books all in this one place! They have threeish floors. The very top floor is just a small landing with more historical books in different languages. The second floor and first floor consist of the same layout but each with their own types of book genres. Whenever my friends and I hang out on Pine street, we always stop in here!

This was a clothing company I found through Moonrose Vintage and I actually bought one of their pieces which has become one of my closet staples! They reuse donated fabrics or used clothes and make them into something new. Again about the price, but it’s so worth it to spend extra money towards renewed fabric handmade vs over produced clothes that have ugly brand names running across it. They sell sets, tops, bottoms, jackets, and jewelry. Each of the pieces that are created actually have tags on them that state what they were made from, so you get a little story about your purchase. Jordan who creates the clothes for Earthly is extremely talented and filled with so much kindness! When you need a piece to pop out of your closet with a beautiful story get a forever piece at Earthly!

This store I put as my number one spot when it comes to gift giving, locally made jewelry and other cool knickknacks. I had made a wine and charcuterie set for my friend with a wine glass that said “save water drink rose” from here. They also have these really cute handmade Philly themed cards that I always love to buy a few of for the next time I give a gift. What mostly stuck out to me was the handmade jewelry, if I had the money I would buy one of each piece. They’re extremely beautiful, simple, and intricate, you have the choice to wear them whenever you want whether for everyday look or a night out.

Now I don’t crochet myself and I actually haven’t checked if they have thread for embroidery but I have gotten gifts for family and friends who crochet! The workers in there are very nice and knowledgable to help with any needle work crafting questions. They have all different types of yarn as well, not just the bougie cashmere but also wonderfully colored simple yarns for a really great price.
Thank you so much for reading!! Have a wonderful day!
